Some creations at the beach by both God and man

Dreaming

As I sit looking at piles of snow blocking my view from every angle--some as high as 12 feet, I can also look at my recent pictures and dream. It's supposed to be a good way to calm oneself, picturing oneself in a favorite location, listening to the waves, smelling the sea salt.
I love the ocean; I have always loved watching waves whether ocean made or river made. Johnny Ray used to say that eternity presented itself on the sea shore. He and I both felt a bond with the sea and its appeal. Now, I like to look across the vast reaches of the sea and imagine Johnny on the other side. I know how to cross water; it becomes more tangible in my mind than thinking of Johnny in another sphere I have no remembrance of.
"He's right there--see, if you stand on your toes and stretch, maybe you can see the other side."
Fortunately, thinking about Johnny is not always painful. I remember lots of fun water experiences with him. Now, I want to fill my kids and grandkids with good water memories. Two of these pictures were taken out the window of the resort where Jaren, his family and I will be staying in August. I could lie in my bed and watch waves out the window.
I just came from our new Rexburg Temple. Johnny's not far away when I'm there either. I also hope to have many temple memories with kids and grandkids as we build our links to eternity.
